Online applications are invited from the fresh candidates for two-year D.El.Ed.
Course for the academic session, 2018-2020 in 30 DIETs, 04 BIETs, 31 Government
Elementary Teacher Education Institutions (ETEIs), 02 Government Elementary
Teacher Education Institutions (SC & ST Development) and 01 Non Government
Aided Secondary Training School managed by Minority Community of the State.
1.0 DURATION AND WORKING DAYS OF THE COURSE :

1.1 Duration :

The D.El.Ed. programme shall be of a duration of two academic years.

1.2 Working Days :

There shall be at least 200 working days each year exclusive of the period of
Examination and admission. The minimum attendance of student teacher shall have to be
80% for all course work and practicum, and 90% for school internship .  

Eligibility to apply for the Specific Course :

1. D.El.Ed. (State Quota) Any eligible candidates (as per eligibility criteria) from the state irrespective of their district and Outlying Odia Tract (OOT) candidates

2. D.El.Ed. (BIET Quota) SC and ST eligible candidates (as per eligibility criteria) of the concerned district where the BI ETs are situated (Mayurbhanja, Nawarangpur, Rayagada and Sundargarh)

3. D.El.Ed. (Olchiki – Santali) Any eligible candidates (as per eligibility criteria) who can read and write Santali (Olchiki)

4. D.El.Ed. (Telugu Quota) Any eligible candidates (as per eligibility criteria) of the state who have Telugu as MIL or a subject at HSC level

5. D.El.Ed. (Urdu Quota) Any eligible candidates (as per eligibility criteria) of the state who have Urdu as MIL or a subject at HSC level

6. D.El.Ed. (Christian Community) Any eligible women Christian candidates (as per eligibility criteria) of the state
7. D.El.Ed. (Kandhamal Quota) Any eligible candidates (as per eligibility criteria) of Kandhamal district only

Note : An eligible candidate can apply for any one option only out of the above seven
categories.


Eligibility for D.El.Ed. Course (All) :
The candidate must fulfill all the eligibility conditions given below :
The candidate must have passed Higher Secondary / +2 Examination in Arts / Science / Commerce or its equivalent examination from recognized Boards / Councils (the candidates shall have to submit equivalent certificate from the competent authority) with a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate (45% of mark in aggregate in case of SC, ST, SEBC and PH candidates) excluding marks secured in extra optional.

The age limit as on 30.06.2018 :

For SC, ST, SEBC Candidates 33 years- She / he should not have born before 30.06.1985


For Women Candidates of all categories- 33 years
She should not have born before 30.06.1985


For General Candidates 28 years He should not have born before 30.06.1990


For PH Candidates 38 years She / he should not have born before 30.06.19 80

Modalities of Online Entrance Test :

There will be Online Entrance Test for selection of candidates.

The whole test is of 1 and 1/2 hours (90 minutes) duration carrying 90
marks with two sections.

Section – I carries 30 marks. There shall be 30 questions, each carrying one
mark.

Section – II carries 60 marks. There shall be 60 questions each carrying
one mark.

All the questions shall be of multiple choice type.
The test will be bi-lingual for all the subjects except the language
subject. Questions in the language section shall be available to candidates
in Odia, Urdu, Telugu and Olchiki languages.

Negative Marking : The performance of the candidates shall be evaluated both on
the basis of correct and incorrect responses recorded on the OMR sheet. For every
incorrect response, 0.25 mark shall be deducted from the marks secured
by the candidate for correct responses.

More than one response to a question shall be considered incorrect and
negative mark will be awarded.

Venue of the Test : The Online Entrance Test shall be conducted in the Centres
identified by the Examination conducting agency approved by Government.

Issue of Admit Card : Admit Cards shall be issued Online. The candidates are
required to take print out of the same and produce at the Examination Centre.
Time and Date of Online Entrance Test : Will be communicated to the
applicants through SMS / Mail and will be published in the Website
